The Amansie West District Police Command has intensified day and night patrols to check armed robbery which is on the increase in the district.
ASP Thomas Badu Poku, District Police Commander, said the police administration will visit the communities to empower watchdog committees to effectively complement the efforts of the police.
The District Police boss stressed the need for communities to support the watchdog committees, while educating the public on security alerts, at a durbar held at Manso Domi Keniago.
ASP Badu Poku asked the committee members and watchdog committees to be alert and vigilant about visitors who visit their communities, and volunteer information to assist the police to protect lives and properties in the district.
Meanwhile, ASP Badu Poku has commended the Head Pastor of the International Power Chapel at Manso Domi Keniago, Kinsley Gyamfi, for extending electricity to the new police block built by the Amansie West District Assembly at the cost of GH¢7,000.
