A farmer has been butchered with machete for defecating on a land of another farmer.
The incident occurred at Nkrukan in the Yilo krobo district of the Eastern region.
The badly injured farmer has been hospitalized at the Regional Hospital, Koforidua receiving treatment.
According to the son of the victim, Clement Tetteh, the injured was going to irrigate a vegetable farm with his father at a nearby village around 5am on Thursday when the father complained of stomach upset hence went to the bush to defecate.
He said, he decided to take lead to the farm to begin work but later got information from his wife that, the father has been butchered by owner of the land on which the father was easing himself, hence rushed to the hospital in Koforidua.
According to Tetteh, his father was butchered on the neck, forehead, rib and hand by his attacker after struggling with him whiles defecating.
The landowner is reported to have warned residents from defecating on his land hence his action.
Ultimate news’ Kojo Ansah reported that the case has been reported to the Police hut the suspect is now at large.
The family of the victim is however not happy with the way police in the area is handling the case.
