Burns victim donates to Korle-Bu Burns patients

My fulfilled birthday is when I to donate to people who are in serious  pains and hopeless situation  especially  Burns patients because  I have been there before.
This is what I called a fulfilled  birthday  when people  who are in a painful and hopeless situation smile at you because you have touched their hearts.
I had my gory accident  when I was working  with Laspalmas,  I actually  worked there for two weeks  and on exactly  two weeks into the job as a fresh graduate  from Takoradi Polytechnic  Catering School I nearly lost my life.
We were actually  two who were trapped  in the fire  on that fateful  day and my colleague  died after three months  on admission  at Korle-Bu Burns and Plastic Surgery unit.
There and then I realised  that the only one that can save a man on a dying bed is God. Going to a hospital  is a mere formality.
Every since I was discharged in 2010, yes I spent six months on admission from October 2009 to April 2010.
Life during and after severe Burns like me who sustained almost 50% mixed injuries  is not easy because  I have to go through  series  of skin grafting (Plastic surgery), the trauma not everyone is able to come strong.
This is what encourages me as I have been able to sail through  the waves every  year to visit those on admission  to share the little  I have with them and share my survival  story with them.
This is how this young  chap giggled at my sissy Cecilia Bee at the Korle Bu Burns and Plastic Ward when we gave him something  small.
the only worthy birthday  is when I am angle to do  my donation.
Every  year  in March I do donation with the help of love ones to the Burns  Unit.
Well I advised the patients to be prayerful  and trust in God.
"Going to a hospital  is a mere formality God is the healer"
When I was there for six I was not sure when I was going to be discharged  but I knew death was not my portion
Ghana National  Fires Service  should do intensive education and monitoring of safety gadgets  especially  in restaurants, fuel stations and in office to ensure that in case of an outbreak it can be controlled.
Also there should be insurance  covering all workers so that after accident people can be compensated. Sometimes when these things happen people become disabled  for the rest of their lives but since  they are not compensated or insured they are left with nothing  except  grief  and pity.
Mine happened in 2009 but the case is still  in court because the people do not want to compensate me.

People  should be empowered to stand for their rights.
